Exceptional A Level results

Our A Level results reflect both the outstanding progress made by our students as well as the school’s continued trend of improved student achievement.

Whilst the measure of success is different for each individual student, we are excited by the fact that 36% of all academic A Level grades were the top A*-B grades with almost 1 in 5 of them being at A* or A.

We are very pleased with the individual achievements of our students and the fact that their hard work has meant they have been offered places at their preferred university. Amongst the many success stories are:  Bariq Babar -  A*A*A (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) who has secured a place at St George’s to read Medicine, Hossai Hemat - A*AAA (Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Physics) going to St Andrews to read Medicine, Yuri Lewyckyj - A*A*AB (Maths, Physics Further Maths and Economics)  going to read Mechanical Engineering at Bristol, Arya Parikh - A*AAB (Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Geography) to study Aerospace Engineering at Bath, Shreya Shrestha - ABB (Biology, Maths and Psychology) to study Accounting and Finance at Surrey, Arryan Kapoor - AAB (Maths, Economics and Geography) secured a place at Queen Mary’s to read Economics, Scott Doherty - A*AB (History, Geography and Economics) accepted to read History at Oxford.

Our vocational students have achieved equally well;  results are exceptionally strong with a significant number achieving the highest  Distinction or Distinction* grades. Amongst these success stories are the following: Rahul Kumar - Dist*Dist*Dist (Applied Sci) to study Biomedical Sciences at Westminster, Paris Roberts - Dist*Dist*Dist (Applied Sci) to read Environmental Science at York,  Sarina Thapa - Dist*Dist*Dist (Applied Sci) to study Midwifery Practice at London South Bank, Ruari O'Connor-Harte - Dist*Dist*Dist ( Sport) to study Football Coaching and Performance at Liverpool John Moores.

Katherine Angland, Director of Sixth Form said: “This has been an exceptional set of results for our students. We are enormously proud of what they have achieved. It is wonderful to see so many students have secured their first choice university which has included many prestigious Russell group institutions.”

Headteacher, Marion Budd said: “Again we are very proud of the outstanding achievements of both our A level and vocational students who have worked so diligently to achieve their goals. Their commitment to achieving their very best epitomises what this school is about.”
