Lest We Forget - The National Children's WW1 Remembrance Concert

Lest We Forget (2)The Northolt High School Choir were delighted to be invited by Ealing Music Service to perform at the 'Lest We Forget' concert (2018) in the NEC Arena Birmingham on Saturday 3rd November.

The concert  was organised to celebrate the end of World War 1. As part of the concert, there was a 2000 strong choir made up of schools from across the country, of which Northolt High School played part, performing alongside an orchestra of 160.

The Northolt Choir spent many months rehearsing the repertoire for the concert, on occasions spending their lunchtime and after school practising to ensure they perfected their performance ready for the concert.

Ruwayda Abdishakur, Year 7 commented, “It was so much fun to be part of the school choir. At first I was nervous but everyone was so supportive and really helped me to build my confidence. I can’t wait for the Christmas concert! I’m so glad I came to Northolt High School.”

Mr Wasiq, Subject Leader of Performing Arts & ICT said, “As ever, the students at Northolt High School continue to surprise me each and every year with each and every performance. They put so much work into what they do and it really shows in the performances they put on.”
