Ealing Teen Read Final

We were proud to host the first ever Ealing Teen Read Final on Thursday 23rd March which gave us a wonderful opportunity to promote the importance of reading for pleasure. Guest author Lisa Williamson visited the school and gave us an insight into her influences as a writer, speaking to an audience of around 130 students from seven different schools in Ealing.

Students in all of the schools had been given four months to read a shortlist of six titles before voting for their favourite. Each of the novels was chosen because it presented a challenging and rewarding read for fourteen year olds. Each school voted for their top three titles and these votes were amalgamated to find the Ealing overall winner. Lisa Williamson finished off the event by announcing the winning book -  "Am I Normal Yet?" by Holly Bourne. Congratulations to Holly Bourne who will now be invited to launch next year's competition.
