Celebration of Success Awards Evening

Awards Evening

Our first annual Celebration of Success Awards Evening was held on Wednesday 12th July in the South Hall. This auspicious event provided a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the academic, sporting and cultural achievements of our students in Years 7-10 and in Year 12, as well as to recognise  those who epitomise our values of Respect, Self Respect, Self Belief, Resilience, Courtesy, Self Discipline, Kindness and Hard Work.

Key Stage 3 and 4 academic awards were presented in three categories: Attitude to Learning, Progress and Attainment. The prestigious Governors' Awards were presented by our Chair of Governors, Sue Bonney. These were awarded to students in each year group who live the school values everyday. Recipients were decided on following  nominations from students  and members of staff.

The Headteacher's Award was presented to Tim Garner who, amongst his other achievements, had a hundred percent attendance record throughout his seven years at Northolt High school - a truly amazing record!

Finally the Walker Cup for Academic Excellence was presented to Maksym Lewyckyj. Maksym was our head boy last year and our first student to gain entrance to an Oxbridge university since 2010. In 2014 Maksym achieved 10As and 3A* in his GCSEs. Then in 2016 he achieved A* grades in Mathematics and Further Mathematics and A Grades in Physics and Economics. After undergoing additional assessments and a formal interview, Maksym was awarded a highly sought after place at Cambridge university to read Mechanical Engineering at Emmanuel College. A very worthy recipient of this prestigious award.
