The Woman in Black Y11 theatre trip

Year 11 GCSE Drama students attended the Fortune Theatre in the West End last week to watch "The Woman In Black". The story centres around a lawyer obsessed with a curse that he believes has been cast over him and his family by the spectre of a Woman in Black. He engages a sceptical young actor to help him tell his terrifying story and exorcise the fear that grips his soul. It all starts innocently enough, but then, as they reach further into his darkest memories, they find themselves caught up in a world of eerie marshes and moaning winds.

It is fair to say some of our students were slightly frightened and a few screams heard during the performance! Year 11 student Diva commented, "I couldn't believe how realistic it was! It was so good and so scary at the same time!" The Year 11 GCSE Drama students will be using this production to help them write their live theatre review in their up coming GCSE exam in May.  We wish them all good luck with this. We're also very grateful to Ms Hoiberg and Mr Wasiq for giving up their time to take students on this visit.
