Talking to your child about the coronavirus

Posted on: Mar 17
The media is currently full of news about the coronavirus and children are aware that we are all having to do things differently to keep ourselves safe.  They will have questions and may be anxious.  In school we have given them some facts about thorough hand washing and explained that we will always follow the advice we are given about the best action to take.  At home they may want to talk some more about what is going on and will look to the adults in their lives to reassure them.  Please find below some advice from external organisations about how to talk to your child about the coronavirus.  Please also see our section 'How to look after your child's mental health' under the parent tab for links to other helpful organisations.
