Business Studies

Why study Business Studies?

Have you ever wondered…

  • What Tesco is doing selling electronics?
  • Why McDonalds, the home of the hamburger and high fat foods, now sell salads?
  • Why Coca-Cola is being kicked out of most vending machines in schools and replaced by water or other products?
  • Why footballers get paid so much?
  • What prompts a business to take over another?
  • Why it is so complicated to work out the ‘best’ mobile phone tariff?

Business Studies considers real-life businesses and the way in which operate by studying the theory and applying it to the real world you will be able to better understand how decisions are made and can then make informed judgments and conclusions.
