Sycol

2 719We are fortunate enough to be following the Sycol education programme – a three-year plan that is instrumental in supporting us as we continuously seek to innovate and improve what we do.

As part of this, our school staff and governors have worked together to agree on a clear and challenging vision, mission and set of core values that are now firmly established at the heart of everything we do. This is our culture manifesto, and we use it to drive innovation and continuous improvement within our organisation. With Sycol, we will build, embed and sustain our intended culture of high-performance and trust.

Members of our staff volunteer to become 'Sycol Leads' each year and they take part in a variety of leadership activities. Each term, staff work together in teams to develop new processes and procedures to improve our school and some of the Sycol Leads run these projects. Other Sycol Leads are responsible for leading initiatives designed to improve the way that our school responds to and reflects its community - an example of this was the introduction last academic year of our first annual Culture Day. The last group of Sycol Leads are responsible for reviewing the systems and processes that have previously been introduced to our school, checking that these are fit for purpose and still operating smoothly.
