GCSE Results Day 2023

It was wonderful to see a packed hall of students and parents collecting GCSE results today. We’re proud of this year’s GCSE cohort who did see much disruption to learning over their secondary schooling due to the pandemic. They’ve proved themselves to be hard workers with great resilience and as a result there are many, many individual success stories that could be told. Some of these are included below.

Some individual student stories

Sanvi achieved a string of brilliant results, with top Grade 9s in Biology, Chemistry, English Literature, Mathematics, Physics and Grade 8s in Computer Science and Geography as well as getting a Distinction in Drama. “I’m so happy!” We wish Sanvi continued success with the four A Levels she will be starting in September in Maths, Further Maths, Computer Science and Economics. 

Davey, pictured here with a very proud mum, was all smiles as he opened his results which reflected the excellent progress he had made at secondary school.  “I’m really happy,” he said. Congratulations, Davey, we wish you the very best in your continued studies completing a Level 3 BTEC in Business!

Well done to Hayley, in particular for her grade 8 in Photography and Distinction in Music. “I’m so happy, I got the English grade I was looking for, so I'm really pleased.” These results were well deserved, Hayley we’re proud of you. 

Ekvinder was extremely pleased with his results, especially his Grade 9 in Mathematics and Combined Science as well as his Grade 7s in Business,  Computer Science and Geography.  “I got a 9 in Maths so I'm really happy”. Ekvinder will be going on to study A Levels in Maths, Computer Science and Economics.

Yasmin was really pleased with her results today. Her highlights included Grade 9s in both French and Spanish as well as Grade 7s in Biology, Mathematics and Physics. “I am proud of myself because I worked hard.” Congratulations Yasmin, we are so proud of what you have achieved, all your hard work has certainly paid off! We wish you the best of luck with your A Levels in Biology, Chemistry and French.

Jagandeep  achieved an excellent set of GCSE results with Grade 9 in Maths and Grade 8s in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, English Language, History and Physics. “I'm so pleased. In some I got better than I was expecting!” Jagandeep will be  going on to study A Levels in Maths, Physics and Computer Science.

Karina was clear about why she had been successful today. “I'm really happy, I worked hard and mum's really proud.” Her excellent progress at secondary school means she has achieved the necessary grades to go on the Post 16 courses she has set her mind on. Congratulations Karina! Karina is going on to study A Levels in History, Psychology and Government and Politics.

Goutham was celebrating Grade 7s in English Language, Mathematics and Physics. “I worked really hard but I’m really surprised and I did well in English so I'm really so pleased with that!” Goutham is going on to study A Level Maths, Economics and Business. 

 

Afrasayab was really pleased with his results which reflected the  fantastic progress he had made during secondary school. “ I'm really happy, I've got what I need for my A Levels.” Many congratulations on your achievement Afrasayab, we are extremely proud of you! Afrasayab will be going on to complete A Levels in Business, Maths and Computer Science.
